A mentőmellény nem csak arra jó, hogy bajban segít a víz felszínén maradni. Egy igazán jó, kajakos horgászatra tervezett mellény számos kiegészítő opcióval rendelkezik. 1. Jelzősíp

Nekem eddig egyszer volt szükségem rá, amikor a Balatonon egy vitorlás úgy gondolta, hogy a kabinban sörözgetve szabadon haladhat, csak én éppen az útjában horgonyoztam. Hiába integettem, kiabáltam, nem értem vele semmit. Már épp szedtem volna fel a horgonyt, mikor szerencsére a síp hangjára előmászott a hajóból, és ki tudott kerülni. A sípot egy kis retractoron tartom, így könnyedén tudom használni. A sípokat itt találod az áruházban!
2. Jobb oldali nagy zseb
Itt elég szélesek a lehetőségek, mivel a zseb mérete sok kellék tárolását teszi lehetővé. Én itt tartom a horgászengedélyt és a tollat, valamint a cigit, és a gyújtót. Itt tartom még a horogélezőt is. De ez a zseb alkalmas kapcsok, és zacskóban gumicsalik tárolására is korlátozott mennyiségben.
3, Kis zsebek, a nagy zseben
Az aprócikkek ide is kerülhetnek, én alapvetően egy egy méteres kihúzható centit tartok itt.
4, GoPro távirányító
A GoPro kamerákat a legegyszerűbben távirányítóval lehet vezérelni, így egy gombnyomással több kamerát is el tudok indítani, vagy le tudok állítani egyszerre. A távirányító egy tépőzáras hevederrel érkezik, ami tökéletes arra, hogy a mellény vállpántjára rácsatoljam.
5, Mentőkés
Ez is egy olyan biztonsági kiegészítő, ami az esetek nagy részében kihasználatlan marad, de ha szükség van rá, akkor életet menthet. Az NRS Chinook mellényen ki van alakítva az a foglalat, amibe az NRS Pilot mentőkés tokját egyszerűen, és biztonságosan rögzíteni lehet. Innen már csak egy mozdulat, és használható, ha kell.
6, Fogó
Ragadozóhalas peca elengedhetetlen kelléke a horogszabadításhoz. Kéznél kell hogy legyen. Ezen a mellényen számos hely van, ahol tárolhatjuk a fogónkat, attól függően, hogy milyen kialakítású. Az ércsipesz jellegő, a markolat végén összezáró fogót , amit én is jellemzően használok, a mellényen gyárilag kialakított hurkok egyikébe akasztom, amit egyszerűen a fogó markolatának összenyomása után, a hurokból egy pillanat alatt kiakaszthatok. A hagyományos fogó kialakítású horogszabadítónak ideális helye a 8-as számmal jelzett bal első nagy zseb elején található fogótartó, melyhez egy tépőzáras heveder is társul, amivel a fogót a zsebből kicsúszás ellen rögzíteni lehet.
7, Zsinórvágó csipesz
A síphoz hasonlóan ezt is egy retractoron tartom, amit a mellény egy előre kialakított pontjához rögzítem. Ez egy kisebb műbőr fül, két lyukkal, amihez a biztosítótűs rögzítésű kiegészítőket lehet csatlakoztatni.
8, Bal első nagy zseb
Itt megint széles skálán mozog a tárolható kellékek száma. Én itt tartom a telefont, és a fejkamera működtetéséhez, illetve a Gopro távirányító töltéséhez használt powerbankot.
